Ryota Iio

Ryota Iio is a second year student at the Department of International and Regional Studies, Hokkaido University of Education, Hakodate Campus. Born and raised in Akita Prefecture, he has keen interests in agricultural policy in rural Japan. He is also the Director of Table for Two Hakodate (TFT-Hakodate), a global initiative to provide school meals for children in developing countries.

Naori Abe

Naori Abe is a first year student at the Department of International and Regional Studies, Hokkaido University of Education, Hakodate campus. Born and raised in Hokkaido, she studies International Relations.

Ryo Onodera

Onodera Ryo is third year student at the Department of International and Regional
studies, Hokkaido University of Education, Hakodate Campus. Born and raised in
Sarabetsu village of Hokkaido. He has keen interests in public–private partnership in
rural Japan. He is also the Founder of Santarun in Hakodate, a global charity to Collect
the participation fee with a costume parade and deliver Christmas gifts to children in
Hospital. Furthermore, he served as a member of the Hakodate's population reduction
problem committee in 2015. Currently, he is participating in the national competition of
the 2016 Regional Revitalization Policy ideas Contest.

Akari wakatake

Akari Wakatake is a second year student at the Department of International cooperation, Hokkaido University of Education, Hakodate Campus. Born and raised in Hokkaido. She wants to have relationships with students of other universities, so she decided to take part in this event.

Kanta Yamazaki

I'm a sophomore at Hokkaido university of education Hakodate. I study international corporation. I've stayed in Toronto for 9 month. And I found that I don't know much about Hakodate. I'd like to know what happening in my city and how can we resolve it.This is why I'm interested in this project. Thank you.

Keisuke Motomura

Keisuke Motomura is a second year student at the Depertment of International and Regional Studies ,Hokkaido University of Education ,Hakodate campus.
Born and raised in Hokkaido Prefecture,I have keen interests in unoccupied houses problems in Japan .I also takes part in the project which renovates the houses  to protect traditional landscape in Onomichi city

Henry hongyu chen

Henry Hongyu Chen is a fourth year student majoring in Toxicology, and minoring in East Asian Studies and Chemistry at the University of Toronto. He currently works as a researcher for the CAN-JPN project international research team. Henry’s interests include Japanese history and the state of economy in Japan. His past experience includes volunteering at the Toronto Rehab. (2014-2015)

Ian Yiran Zhu is a fourth year student majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Psychology and Economics at University of Toronto. He is currently a researcher and webmaster for the CAN-JPN project international research team.

Yinghan Zhang

Zhang Yinghan is a member of the Tokyo team and a first-year student at Keio University pursuing political science as a major. He has received both the western style of education in Singapore and the oriental style of education back in China and currently in Japan. His passion for International Relations was kindled when he took the course China Studies in Chinese during his junior college (Equivalent to Year 11 and 12 in the US) years. He was fascinated by the fact that one has to consider the interests of all parties which are differing and dynamic, yet at the same time contain unvarying similarities, which by and large reflects humanity. Through participating in this project, he aspires to discover the commonalities of countries in facing the depopulation problem and foster common interests in them. In addition, via interactions with various stakeholders, he strives to improve his negotiation skills which is essential for being proactive in the international political arena
